ANGEL BLAKE: Swedish Date Announced

March 8, 2008

ANGEL BLAKE, the Swedish band featuring former THE CROWN guitarist Marko Tervonen, has completed work on its second album at Tervonen's Studio MT (located three kilometers from Trollhättan, Sweden) for a late April release via Dynamic Arts Records. A single, entitled "Defenseless", will precede the album in the spring.

Tervonen has issued the following update:

"Me and Anders [Edlund, guitar] are going with ANGEL BLAKE's label Dynamic Arts Records to the Inferno metal fest/expo in Oslo, Norway next weekend. I'm really looking forward to this, meeting the press and discussing the new ANGEL BLAKE album over a few beers, it's gonna be fun!!! A pre-listening session on the festival is also on the schedule, cool stuff.

"I'm really excited about sharing the new songs and the video with you, but the 'timing issues' prohibits me from putting songs online. And I'm a man with absolutely NO patience, so I'm feeling frustrated that I need to 'just wait and relax.'

"The plan is to put out an e-card on www.angelblake.com late March where you can stream songs and watch the video for the first single track 'Defenseless'. And yeah, artwork and titles coming up a few weeks before the e-card.

"There's also some gigs going on during April and forward. One is 100% confirmed, we'll play in Skövde, Sweden the 25th of April. More international shows to be announced."

ANGEL BLAKE recently announced the addition of singer Tobias Jansson following the departure of former TRANSPORT LEAGUE/MNEMIC frontman Tony Jelencovich.

Commented Marko: "I was acquainted with the vocals of one Tobias Jansson since months back due to mutual friends. So I got in touch with him, talked with him, popped the question, and a few days later we were demoing some new ANGEL BLAKE songs. I guess the simplest conclusion to that session is that HE KICKED ASS!!!!! He managed to deliver something really extraordinary into the AB sound that wasn’t simply there before. He definitely managed to convince me and the rest of the ANGEL BLAKE team. With my humble words: Tobias has a very 'in-your-face' vocal style that shares the honesty of singers like Eddie Vedder, Robert Plant the style that really brings forth the 'honesty' in the voice. And the man's vocal range is something I really embrace, goddamned!!! You're in it for a real treat, ladies and gentlemen, if you pick up the forthcoming album, mark my words."

ANGEL BLAKE's current touring lineup is as follows:

Tobias Jansson - Vocals
Marko Tervonen (ex-THE CROWN) - Guitar
Janne Saarenpää (ex-THE CROWN) - Drums
Örjan Wressel - Contrabass
Anders Edlund (INCAPACITY, SOLAR DAWN) - Guitar

ANGEL BLAKE's self-titled debut album was released in North America in April 2006 via Metal Blade Records.
